I am just interested in knowing who is checking out our blog. Please leave a comment with your name. I am thinking about going private because I dont know who lives in some of the places that my map shows me is looking at the blog. Well, I know who Ghana is. Hi Mom!!

Also Hunter put some jeans on by himself about 2 hours ago and has since let me know when he has to go potty and had pulled them down and gone in the potty three times now!! WOO HOO!

Manic Monday

Last night the furnace stopped working. And of course it was one of the coldest nights in a while. WHen i woke up to work out it was -10 degrees!! We had put both the kiddos in Brooke's room with the space heater. At some point Hunter climbed into bed with us. Both kiddos slept in until 9 am which was wonderful.

For heat I turned the oven on and left the door open! And it really worked! Called the landlord again and finally reached him, they had been out of town. By 6 pm the furnace guy came and we had heat! Ahhhh. It feels good.

Potty training wise, Hunter does alot better naked. Hmm. I put his sweats on because it was cold and I kept watching for the signs. Still a work in progress, hence why it is called potty TRAINING.

Brad wanted to continue having them sleep in the same room. It is 11 pm and we could hear Gookie laughing hysterically. We peeped in and Hunter was dancing around to music and she was jumping along in the crib. Oh man she was laughing so hard which then makes me laugh so hard. They are the funniest, crazy kiddos and I love them!

I am tired and should go to bed. I have rededicated myself to going to the gym and eating better. This morning Bethany and I went and it felt good. However I had to be back by 7 and we didnt get there until 6:15 because I had to wait so long for the truck to thaw out. So I will wake up earlier tomorrow, ugh. But we will get more time doing weights and abs.

Well, it is time to crawl under my down comforter and quilt as well as my heating pad. Even though the heater is working, I am always cold. I gues i could open the oven!

The next step

Hunter has been going just awesome with potty training! He totally goes on his own and has even gone poo poos in the potty! But he has been naked the whole time so he could make it in time. I just put some underpants on him and we will see how that goes. I also moved the potty in the bathroom and when he was still nude he was making it in there just fine. WHEW!! It has just been going great.

Last night we were able to go to the temple for our anniversary. It was wonderful. We have been able to go two months in a row thanks to Bethany or "Ba" as Hunter calls her. She is my old roommate and was there when i picked out my wedding dress. She is a dear friend and we all love her. We also love Beth "Ba" too who is Bethany's friend from back home. I cant tell you how many times they have literally saved us. I will tell you of the last time. Wednesday Brad ran out of gas on his way home and was stranded on the side of the freeway. My truck was empty and we didnt have a penny to our name. (remember we are still trying to catch up from unemployment) Beth came here and got our gas can, filled it up and rescued Bradley!! HOW AMAZING IS SHE!!!!???? I pray that the Lord is blessing them somehow for all they they do for us.
Anyway, Hunter went potty 3 times while we were gone and he was with Bethany last night!!

Right now gookie is in a booster seat at the table "eating" oatmeal. I am all for letting her eat with her hands on her own and then me doing the clean up later. She has oatmeal all over her anD is absolutely loving it.

Today we have playgroup at the church. HURRAH getting out of the house. Hunter loves to run and run in the gym and Gookie crawls all over. Space and socialization is needed when you cant go outside because it is too cold.

Happy Anniversary

Thursday is our fourth anniverary!!!! Which really doesnt sound that impressive. What does sound mind boggling to me is that we have two kiddos who will be 3 and 1 in April!

Review Of Potty Day #1

For the first day (of the third try) HUnter made it in the potty 3 times, and didnt 3 times. The times he didnt was totally our fault. The first time he had the big boy pants on and couldnt get them off in time. Second time he was playing in a box, the third time he was in time out. It still went MUCH better than the previous times I had tried.

SO far in day 2 he has gone in the potty twice. Loading him up with juice is great, then he has to actually go. I offered him more juice and he told me he was tired of juice. Today we are also more prepared and have M&M's for potty and chocolate covered gummy bears for Poo poos. Potty training is consuming of a mother's time, but not as much this time. I know that Hunter now knows when to sit down when he needs to go. SO i can do the dishes and still monitor him. Where as the last 2 times I had to be right there all the time. But I still am trying to keep him in the same room so it is ALOT of movie watching to try and keep him here. He get's up everyonce in a while to play with cars and i see the ring on his bum from sitting on the potty.

Third time's the charm?

After Hunter wanted to change Gookie's diaper last night, we thought maybe it was time to try potty training...again...for the third try. This morning I pulled out the Elmo potty and his big boy underpants. He wore Nemo underpants while watching Nemo and he didnt quite make it to the potty on time. So I decided to let him roam free. And he went potty on the potty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I didnt tell him he needed to sit down, he sat on his own and went potty! And after his nap he was roaming free again and we went on his own again!!! YAY!!! I hope this continues. But this is better than anything yet! So we will keep on keepin on. How long do we stay home and do this? When is it safe to go in public? We have some pull ups for when that happens, but how long does it usually take?

Catching up

We are playing the catching up game in so many ways. I need to catch up on this blog!! Last week Brad starting working full time in Idaho Falls!! whew!! He is working again with developmentally disabled. It's not his dream job, but it is a job and we are sooo thankful.

SO we thought we would maybe move to Idaho Falls, since there really is no need for us to be in Rexburg anymore. LAst night we actually went and looked at an apartment for FHE. While driving home we talked about it and both feel that we should stay where we are. We dont have to worry about utilities and our rent is super cheap (for now). So we should take advantage of that and catch up (catching up game) in our bills. Being unemployment can really put you behind in that department. Today was Brad's first paycheck!!!! YEAH!! Even though it was only a week's worth it was something!! And so with several more of those and a tax return eventually coming, I think we will be all caught up.

Also the juvenile correction center in Nampa Id is hiring. So he will be applying to that position. It's his dream job. He wants to work with troubled youth and this position is something to hope for. I think job hunting now wont be as life and death as before, since we have an income. But we are still very hopeful that Brad can get a job where he is needed and where he get's to do what he wants to and be happy!!!! We continue to pray for that.
