Cousins

I love how Keilani looks at me like "Who is this crazy woman?"

Utah trip 2011 085

Uncle Mitch and Hunter climbed up and then went down the slide. I had no idea what side they were going to do down. But watch some of the kids that go down before Hunter does...

Bouncey Houses

If you look to the top right of the slide you can see Gookie being tossed up onto the slide because Brad couldnt reach from where he was. It makes me laugh....obviously.

"Bagraffes!"

Watch for the moment when Hunter notices the "bagraffes". These were our favorites, we watched them for 15 minutes! They are SOOO tall and were right there by us. We all loved the Bagraffes.

Gookie Dancing

I LOVE this video. They had these monitors showing you the moves to the dance. After just finishing this video, I realize that Gookie is actually doing the moves! The way she holds her skirt, when she lifts her legs and when she puts her hand behind her back. She is a great dancer. And Hunter has mad skills doing the robot!

Zoo Videos

The Gorillas scared Hunter. He wouldn't even stand next to a statue for a picture.

Benign!!

Got a call from the dr. today and the polyp they found was benign. It was indeed a polyp and so I will have to go through this again every 5 years for forever! Ugh.
But atleast it was good news. Now on to the next procedure....

UTAH!!

We got here yesterday afternoon, checked in to our "Number 8" as Hunter calls it and then went to Salt Lake to go to the Church museum. They have a great children's exhibit and the kids had fun and its free! So if you will be in the area for conference, take your kiddos or go yourself! Then we had dinner at A & W hit up a huge Old Navy and came back and went swimming then went to bed! The kiddos and I were out by 10:00! Hunter slept on the floor and Gookie slept in the middle of our king size bed! The bed is great because I can spread out and not touch Brad at all, however I did have gookie trying to steel my pillow and Brad had her feet in his face =)

Today the kiddos woke up at 8. Pretty good for them. We went to the zoo this morning and it was perfect weather! We drive around with the sun roof open and people think we are crazy. This is spring weather for us Idahoans and we are loving it. After the zoo we went to Gateway Mall and walked around and then ate a Tucanos. As my brother put it, we went and saw animals and then we ate some.

Now we are chillin' at the Number 8 and waiting to hear from my brother. We would like to meet together and let the kiddos play. It's a fun family weekend. Pics and videos to come soon.

Bibopsy

Remember on My Big Fat Greek Wedding when the aunt talks about the lump in her neck and she had to get a "bibopsy" and it was her twin?!? ANyway, as a result of that I can never say Biopsy, I always say bibopsy.

So today was my procedure and it took them 20 minutes to find my vein!! The anesthesiologist had to do it and he couldnt find it either and they ended up doing it in the middle of my arm. The stuff kicked in fast and I was OUT!!

The did find something and it is being bibopsied and we should hear back next week. The dr. did say that it is NOT the reason I am anemic. So we we will see what the next step is.

I thought I was doing really good and then totally crashed and took a 3 hour nap this afternoon. My parents came and brought their new adorable, calm puppy and the kids could care less that I was not around. Thank you mom and dad for coming and thank you Bethany for being here early this morning while we were at the hospital.

Now to look forward to vacation this weekend!!

A different kind of cleanse

Tomorrow I get my "medical precedure" done and so today is the day I have to drink awful, horrible drink. I am shuddering now as I can still taste it in my mouth!! So my alarm goes off at 8 (kids didnt wake up until 9!!) and I get things ready to drink the drink. It took me an hour to gag the stuff down!!

So I expect the aftermath of the drink to begin eventually. Beth is coming to get the kiddos in 30 minutes or so to get them out of the house and I can uh..rest? Thank you Beth!! You are really helping me out!

Tomorrow we go to the hospital at 7 am and Bethany will be here with the kiddos and then Brad doesnt have to leave for work until 1:30. I am expecting to be in and out of sleep tomorrow. I dont think I will get much sleep tonight as I have to take more of the drink tonight (GAG!!!)

Well. Enjoy your day, I know I wont be. =P

I had 3 imaginary friends, I expected my kids to have a big imagination but this.....

The conversation Hunter had this evening with uh...himself?
Hunter: Hi Jesus..?
"Jesus" : Yes?
Hunter: I lost my really big Buzz Lightyear and Woody. Can you help me find them?
"Jesus": Sure, follow me
Hunter: Ok

And then he walked down the hall. No, he did not find those toys.

New milestone

For some it is buying a car, house or even moving to a house from an apartment. For us it is buying bunkbeds for our kiddos. Which also involves moving Gookie to a big girl bed for the first time.

So Saturday was a LONG day and we found the bunkbeds and got them and then went and got them sheets, then went grocey shopping etc. I think each one of us had a meltdown that day. It was long and there were moments of being tired and hungry. I have been getting tired alot lately and nothing I do recharges my battery. So we came home and Brad wanted to put the beds up that night. It was a LOONG process and Hunter was so excited that he stayed up until they were done, but he loved it.

The next night he actually fell asleep on the floor!

Tonight he eventually fell asleep and I waited for a while after he was out and put Gookie in her bed just now. I cant hear her but I dont want to check on her incase she is falling asleep.

But this is a milestone for us!! I feel old, I feel like my kids are old. I am blessed with the two I have and love them more than anything. No matter how old they are, they will always be my babies!!

The good, the bad and the unpleasant

So last week I went to the dr because for the last 2 weeks I would just be sitting there and feel like I was going to pass out. I thought for sure it was blood pressure problems or something. So I went to Dr. Lofgran and I LOVE him! He takes the time with you and is just great! (if only he was an OBGYN here!)

So I am anemic. No new news. I have always been anemic but he is the FIRST dr to want to find out why. So the took some blood and did tests and Brad and I came back in to get this awful red bump removed off my forehead.

The Good: My blood pressure and blood sugar levels are AMAZING!! He also removed this hideous bump I had named "the beast", I was very good at hiding it, but was soo self concious about it. We have wonderful insurance and this is a HUGE blessing. My Dr. is great!

The Bad: I am EXTREMELY anemic. So you have your hemoglobin count and that is the iron stored in like your refrigerator, what is accesible right away. Then you have another count and that is like your food storage in your basement, your supply of iron if you will. That count was an 8 for me and it should be at 50!!!!!!!!! So there is definitly something not quite right. Also, my mom was extremely anemic as well. She also had her first polyp when she was 35 therefore all 7 of us kiddos need to be checked. Everyone else has.

The Unpleasant: I have to get a colonoscopy to look for polyps that may be bleeding and causing me to be anemic. Not worried at all or about the procedure, I just do not want the drink!! I have seen my mom gag this drink down before her proceures, I have had to yell in her face like a coach to get her to drink it. And now it is payback. I will have to drink this awful toxin!! Also, after the colonoscopy he wants me to get a pelvic exam to look for polyps in my uterus as well. Atleast I dont have to drink a drink for that! And then I go back after that and the Dr. will take it from there.
