This and That

Sunday was Hunter's first day of sunbeams (sick last week). it kind of snuck up on both Brad and I. WHen I took him to sharing time i just couldnt believe he was old enough for "big boy class" He did amazing. I think putting him in preschool contributed to him doing ok with sunbeams.

We now teach the 7 year olds. Brad taught the lesson and learned there is a BIG difference from 11 yr olds to 7 yr olds. At one point a girl said "uh,,,,, what;s the point?" I took over from there and Brad said "you do a MUCh better job at teaching children" It is a different way of teaching for sure.

Today I had my last training to be a PSr worker. I just need to get some odds and ends together and I can start!!

Hunter had preschool this morning and he is doing amazing! We went to McDonalds this afternoon to let the kiddos run around. Hunter made 2 new friends. He asked them their names and introduced himself. SO great to see him growing up and able to socialize and make friends

Gookie ran around and was hillarious to watch. She too is getting older and it is fun to watch. We are working on saying "please dont" when someone does something to her she doesnt like. She has learned it is just as effective to skip the "please" and to shout "DONT!" however, it is not as polite. Again, we are working on it.

Prayers ARE answered.

As you know I have been working this $7.25 an hour job that ha had me drive and spend gas money more than I am making. I have applied to many other jobs that i got an education for, but never got them. Many times i have thought "why did I even get a degree?!" Timing.

I know that I need a job and am willing to do so to pay off student loans and Gookies medical bills and especially put away for savings. The current job wont do that. Yesterday Brad and I fasted (as well as my sister's family) that we would find a way to have that income and provide all mentioned above.

I saw a job to be a PSR worker (working with children with behavioral/mental problems) here in Rexburg and I applied on Saturday and today they called and I had an interview. It was a great interview and as I was ready to go she said "Actually, is this something you really want to do? You are a perfect fit" And i was hired and filled out paperwork. And guess how much it pays an hour?!?!?!? $16 an hour!!! (more than Brad makes an hour) When she told me that I wanted to start crying. I am sure i started tearing up. It's 25 hours a week and i start training TOMORROW!!

I called the current job and let them know this will be my last week! I was so happy about it as I worked tonight and was basically a maid and for $7 an hour.

This is truly amazing and an answer to prayer.

Tales of the Sabbath Morning

Starting today, church is at 8:30 am. So my alarm, Hunter, woke up at 7 to go to te bathroom. Brad is in the shower because he has to leave at 7:30 to go to work. Hunter has a royal meltdown. It's a combo of being too tired and sick. Both kiddos are sick. But I have to teach primary and its 7 am. I get ready while Brad has 5 minutes to spare and wrestle with Hunter to get him dressed. After being dressed, hunter goes back to bed. I get ready and then turn my attention on Gookie who woke up because of Hunter's carryin on. Her cough sounds deep and croupy. And I am thinking "there is no way she can go to church and get everyone else sick but I dont have a choice. I have to teach." And just then she throws up. There's my answer. I call member or primary presidency put gookie in the tub, turn on oven with door open because kitchen is freezing (-3 outside) and start scrubbing floor in my dress. All I can say is i tried, things are out of my control.
