Update

Thank you for your prayers. they have definately made a difference. Brooke is doing WAY better. Hunter's eyes have been red and goopey and i am thinking, "oh no! this is the worst pink eye i have EVER seen!" My nephew is getting married tomorrow and i wanted some antibiotics before we went (if we were really to go). So brad took hunter in and it turns out it is all caused by an ear infection!! which is a relief because that;s not contagious. So we have some super duper antibiotics and tomorrow we will be able to see Brandon get married. I will still be more protective of germs with brooke, but it is such a relief for hunter not to have pink eye. Especially when he comes up to brooke and says "EYE" and touches her eye. They both have appointments on monday so we can follow up. Again, big relief.

Today was our first outing as the Adams family of four. We went to the mall and wal mart. Brooke was covered and asleep the whole time. It was so surreal to be there, the four of us and to see brad pushing the kiddos in the double stroller. Surreal and yet natural at the same time. So wonderful.

2 weeks old

Brooke is two weeks old today. Last night we went to the E.R. because she has a stuffed nose with gross stuff coming out and she was really struggling to breathe. Turns out she had a fever of 100.1 and when a newborn has a fever of 100.3 they do a bunch of tests like a spinal tap. Basically, a 2 week old baby should not be having a fever and because she does they were pretty concerned. So she ate last night at 11pm fell asleep finally at 1 am and did not wake up until 6 am!! that is a LONG time for my baby girl. She has not been eating like she has been and that too is a concern too. So we have been taking her temp all day because if she gets to a 100.3 they said to bring her in ASAP. not so fun to see your little baby so sick at such a young age.
So with her being sick i am now going to be pretty anal about germs because i have been very lax and now i feel guilty. No unclean hands around my baby, sick people and we arent going anywhere for a while. and i told Brad he will be sprayed with lysol the minute he gets home. I think every mother feels this way once their brand new baby, or any baby gets sick. When you see them so sick, how can you NOT feel this way?
So today she has continued not to eat but she is still having wet diapers which is good. She had sick eyes this morning but this afternoon she was awake for 3 hours!! She seemed to be feeling better and ate some, but spewed everything up that was in her belly (including mucus) three times! We will just continue to watch her and to pray for her.
However, even though she is sick, i was able to get some pictures of our baby girl.

Hunter's 2nd birthday

Hunter turned 2 on the 28th which was Tuesday. While Gramma Tammy was here she sure did make Hunter feel special while we were in the hospital. They played and played and Hunter picked out a ball from the store that he loves. We sure appreciate Tammy for coming and giving our Hunter boy lots of love and attention. Saturday gramma and brad took hunter to the zoo. This was before the weather turnd cold and rainy, so it was his last day out. He of course LOVED that. Tuesday came and Hunter has had a cough and a bit of a fever. So we didnt plan anything and it is only his 2nd birthday. It has been raining all day so we couldnt go to the park. So at the last minute i said "let's go to mcdonald's and let him play there" and that;s what we did. we called zak and sam or "Auntie and Yak" and they joined us. Thank goodness they did because i am not up to par and brad is exhauasted. Poor hunter and his boring parents. SO Yak and Auntie climbed in the playground with him. they also gave him musical instruments which he loves and brad hates. Too bad for brad.

We sure love our Hunter Boy and cant believe how old he is getting. He LOVES Dumbo and would watch it 30 times a day if i let him. he is a GREAT big brother and such a help around the house. We love love love him.

UGH!

So my tooth has been hurting, it was like my whole bite was off. so i made an appointment today which worked out because brad's guy that he interns with wasnt there today. so i pumped a bottle and brad came home and off i went to the dentist. i was thinking all they would have to do was just fix my bite. NO! he says you have two options, a root canal or pull the tooth. of course i opt for the root canal. so he doesnt even finish it today and i have to come back in a week so as i am making that appointment (celeste will be here for that, thank goodness) she says "you know medicaid doesnt cover root canals right?" i'm like "NO!" how the heck am i supposed to know that? its $735 and they already started. had i known i would have just gotten it pulled! so i am trying NOT to break down right in front of her, i get to the car, call celeste, when i hang up with her i just start bawling. i am all worried how brad is going to take this and when i get home i tell him and he says "dont worry, we'll figure it out" and gives me a BIG hug. how we'll pay for it all i dont know. on top of that i am STARVING because i havent been able to close my mouth let alone chew food. i want to bawl some more and take a nap. and when this shot wears off it is going to KILL and i still have to go back. as of right now, a root canal is WAY worse than labor!!

SHE IS HERE!

BABY BROOKE ALLYSON ADAMS IS HERE! She was born yesterday at 5 pm, only 6 minutes pushing! She is 6 lbs 8 oz and 18 inches long. Thank you for the prayers details will come later. i am doing great and so is baby. We will be in the hospital until tomorrow.
