The field is white, ready to harvest

As I mentioned before we have a wheat field right behind us. And the were harvesting the wheat and the huge tractor went right by our window. Hunter couldnt believe it! So we got our shoes on and went outside and Hunter watched the "yeyo tractor" go up and down the field. When it finally came close to us Hunter waved and so did the farmer. It made his day to see a tractor so close up and actually moving.

We all need to be reminded of this truth no matter how old we are.

Books

I highly recommend the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series by Rick Riordan. These are fun books with a thrilling story and they get better as you go. I just love to read and was needing a fun book. I will only read children's books pretty muchfor now on. Why? Because when my kiddos get older I want to be able to recommend books as well as know what they are reading. Plus i just ventured out and got the Time Traveler's wife from the library and couldnt get passed the 4th page. I am not even kidding it was that dirty!! Who wants that filth? Anyway, this is a fun series.

For toddlers and preschoolers i suggest Color Zoo. Hunter LOVES this book. The shapes make up different animals and it teaches animals, shapes and colors. I got this book last week from the library and he already knows circle, oval, heart, triangle and square. And i just read them to him, i dont drill him what the shapes are since that isnt really age appropriate and a 2 year old doesnt have to know their shapes yet. But he just absorbs what is in books.

Animalia is a great book with great pictures! it goes through the alphabet and every page has pictures with that letter and it is done in aliteration form. For example Wicked Wasps Wildly Waving Warlike Weapons. It has really increased Hunter's vocab and Brad and I have fun looking at the pictures.

Labor Day weekend........

Is NON existent!! Having a real labor day weekend stopped when i married Bradley. This is when the eastern idaho state fair (or Mullet Fest) starts. His grandparents have a booth of hamburgers etc and Brad has always gone and worked. And i have always been alone. So this morning he went and will come home late tonight and then he will go again monday. I am glad that he is hard working and doing his best to make any money. His next pay check will be only $35 since he was gone. Oh yay. i think this year i just really wanted a labor day weekend spent with our family but money is defintaly needed and brad is good to recognize that. Again, so grateful he is a hard worker. So our day started with poor Hunter Boy waking up at 6am screaming because his toenail is ripping off. This poor boy. So i put a bandaid on it because I am not about to touch it or cause him pain. No thankyou! Gookie woke up twice last night and i want to let her cry herself back to sleep but brad does not. He doesnt like to hear little babies cry. Our day will be spent vegging and cleaning the house, not much different than any other day. We cant go anywhere because the truck has no gas and is sick too.
Anyway,i guess my point was i sure miss Labor Day weekend.

Growling Girl

Gookie used to coo and talk in such a sweet way. But now she just growls! You would think that she was bothered or about to cry. Oh no, the growling is actually a happy noise. This is what we hear at 2 in the morning when she thinks she needs to eat again. The dr. said today that it is just habit now and to just let her go back to sleep on her own.
She had her 4 month check up today and is 25 inches long and 14.6 pounds. Just right and "beautiful" the dr. said. Well, i'm not one to argue with a dr!
