Spring?

Just when the snow had melted from the flurries of yesterday, i woke up to a blizzard today!! it was gross! but by the afternoon the sun was out and the snow was melting. i think it is going to snow again. i just wish it would be one or the other, preferably the sun shining and warm weather! Today was Hunter's WIC appointment. there were other kiddos there Hunter's age. usually he cries when he is with others his age. he does great with adults and older kids but doesnt like the kiddos his age. but today he did great. He was standing next to this little girl and i never realized how broad his shoulders are until then. He looks like a football player with pads on.
We leave tomorrow for Brandon's homecoming. i got to talk to him on the phone a little bit. How weird it is for me that my nephew is home from his mission! how even weirder for him that his auntie has a year old baby, i am sure. it will be a weekend spent in the car but we are just so happy to be able to be with family and to get away. we havent gone anywhere for a long time. we are soooo thankful to zak & sam, and berret & tanya who are willing to watch over mildred for us while we are away. they are the ones making it possible for us to go. we really have the best friends. we are so blessed.

All a little boy needs is a box

Hunter loves to get into the cuboards and play with the pots and pans. he thinks it is so fun, although it comes with a price, he has pinched his fingers so many times. today was a really bad one. he wouldnt calm down until i called brad and he talked to daddy. his finger is still red and has a mark, OUCH! i know, it is only the beginning.

fixing the sink

our kitchen sink was out of commision for a while. finally brad had time to put on a new faucet and hunter was happy to help. brad took him to the store with him to buy the new faucet and then they came back, got under the sink with the tools and voila!! it is so nice to have the sink again!

Brad the social worker

brad got accepted to the social work program! he is so excited and relieved. this means that he has 2 more years, but then only one year of grad school. i am very proud of him, he has worked really hard and this is what he wants to do. so he will start this summer with the program. 40 people applied and only 25 got in, including his brother, nick. so because they are smaller classes, there is only one class available. so brad will have to take those classes in the only time during the day he can. this means he will loose some hours at work, but we will see what happens!
