This and That
Hello. This last weekend was General Conference for our church and it was broadcasted from Salt Lake City. I Love being able to listen to it from home. Saturday we had our good friends Zac, Sam and Bethany (Hunter calls her Ba) over. It was just so uplifting to hear words of encouragement, counsel and expressions of love. Conference is every 6 months and i sware, my kiddos always seem to meet certain milstones during conference. Hunter was crawling by conference and his first steps were during conference as we were watching!
Here's what happened this time; Hunter started saying the alphabet and i nearly died!! We have never gone over the alphabet with him! Thanks sesame street.
Sunday we went to Shelley and uh "watched" conference there. Every one was there and it was nice to all be together. Hunter LOVES his cousin Averee and they played their little hearts out. Memaw was holding Gookie and let us know that she has a tooth!!!! We didnt even know she was teething!! So this conference Gookie is sitting up on the floor, HAS A TOOTH!! And she is still working on trying to crawl!! She is growing up too fast for me!! Hunter got a haircut last week and he looks old! In 6 months he will be 3 and she will be 1! It's just flying by! I love watching them play together, I love being a Momma.
Last night Family Home Evening (every monday night we spend time together as a family and will sing songs, read books, have a little lesson, activity and snack) We had our lesson on being prepared. We said "Be Prepared!" as a family several times and then went to the local grocery store where they are having a case lot sale. So we went grocery shopping and bought things in bulk so that we are prepared if anything happens. A food storage. For Christmas last year Brad's parents started us on food storage and it was such a great gift! We were able to go into our reserves when things have been really bad and we had no money to buy food. So we were prepared and we plan on continuing that. You just never know what will happen. Saving for a rainy day with food if you will. It's just a good feeling.
So afterwards we got icecream and I had a cone that i couldnt finish. I put some in a bowl for hunter and started putting groceries away, I looked over at him and the following video is what i saw.

Last warm Day
I knew that Tuesday was going to be our last warm day here in Rexburg as a storm was on it's way. So i really wanted to make sure that Hunter was able to play outside. And he did. He played and played. Gookie (Brooke) was asleep at the time and so I was able to sit outside and just watch Hunter play. It was so fun to see him problem solve, use his imagination as well as chase him around. At one point he did bend over and put his face in the dirt and took a bite out of the dirt. He had dirt all in his teeth, we went inside and he washed it out. Nothing like being a little boy, EVERYTHING must be played with and discovered. Hunter is so much fun!
